How Nonprofits Bring Cheer and Relief this Christmas Season

For today’s edition of JustLove, we explore the work undertaken to address acute vulnerabilities come wintertime – the need for housing and and warm clothing. Sarah Trillo is the recent Chair electee of the Junior Board of Catholic Charities New York; she discusses the Saint Nicholas Project – whereby the Board and and CCNY volunteers distribute clothing directly to families in need. Then, Josiah Haken of the City Relief organization talks with us about the mobile outreach that brings hygiene, food, and health supplies to the unhoused across New York City.

Sarah Trillo is the newly appointed CHair of the Junior Board of Catholic Charities New York, which during the Christmas season focuses on the Saint Nicholas Project and the Adopt-A-Family program.

Josiah Haken is the Chief Executive Officer of City Relief, a nonprofit that brings “mobility” to its efforts to assist the homeless of New York City; visit cityrelief.org to learn more. His new book can be found at neighborswithnodoors.com.
