From Faith to Service: Insights from Ascension Parish ‘Kid Run’ Food Pantry and NYC’s Office of Immigrant Affairs

This week on Just Love, Monsignor Kevin Sullivan engages in a discussion with Director Robin Klueber and volunteers Kevin O’Neill and Georgiana Barth at the only “Kid Run” Food Pantry in New York City – the Ascension Food Pantry of Ascension Parish on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. The pantry is operated by the children of the Religious Education Program of Ascension Parish, who will share insights about their Ministry and how it contributes to their learning of the Faith through helping to Feed the Hungry. Additionally, he speaks with New York City Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs Commissioner Manuel Castro about the work of his office, which is dedicated to serving New York City’s 3.3 million immigrant New Yorkers representing over 160 countries and speaking over 700 languages and dialects. Commissioner Castro also shares his own experience of growing up as an immigrant New Yorker.
