In our second segment, Monsignor talks with Carmen Fields, a retired nurse and longtime resident of Ridge Manor, Florida, who shares her struggles after losing her home to flooding caused by Hurricane Milton in October. This 2nd Weekend of Advent, we bring you stories of giving and inspiration. Monsignor Sullivan speaks with Sarah Trillo, Chair of the Junior Board, and Will Wrotniak, Volunteer Vice-Chair, about the impactful work of Catholic Charities’ Junior Board. They discuss the Saint Nicholas Shopping Day taking place on Saturday, December 7th, at Old Navy locations across Manhattan, where volunteers help provide Christmas gifts to those served by Catholic Charities this winter. Later, he is joined by D.J. Caruso, director of the new Netflix film Mary, which chronicles the Blessed Mother’s early life and the Holy Family’s Flight to Egypt. Premiered on December 6th, the film offers a profound perspective on Mary’s journey.
