Leadership, Legacy, and Culture: Lessons from the Past, Inspirations for the Future

Welcome to today’s episode of JustLove with Monsignor Kevin Sullivan! As we observe President’s Day weekend, we’ll be speaking with Professor Mark Zachary Taylor, author of the newly released book Presidential Leadership in Feeble Times: Explaining Executive Power in the Gilded Age, published by Oxford University Press. He explores the often-overlooked presidencies from Grant to McKinley, drawing lessons from this era that remain relevant today. Plus, as we celebrate Black History Month, we’ll hear from M. Scott Johnson, a master sculptor, arts educator, and cultural anthropologist who serves as an Artist/Educator in Residence at the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture in Harlem. He’ll share insights from his more than 20 years of mentoring young artists through the Schomburg Center’s Junior Scholars Program. Stay with us for these fascinating conversations!
