Pope Francis’ Legacy & the Growing Prominence of Women’s Basketball

This weekend, ahead of the 12th anniversary of Pope Francis’ election on March 13th, Monsignor Kevin Sullivan speaks with Professor Mathew Schmalz, a Professor of Religious Studies at the College of the Holy Cross and Founding Editor of the Journal of Global Catholicism. They discuss the pontificate of the Holy Father—who has been in poor health in recent weeks—examining his accomplishments and legacy. After a brief break, Monsignor Sullivan continues with a special segment for Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day on March 8th. He interviews Professor Christina DePasquale, an Associate Professor of Practice at the Carey Business School at Johns Hopkins University, about the rising prominence of women’s basketball tournaments, especially in the lead-up to this year’s “March Madness.”
