Catholic Social Teaching in Action: From Grassroots Advocacy to Global Aid

On this week’s episode of Just Love with Monsignor Kevin Sullivan, we welcome two guests to discuss faith, justice, and our responsibility to the most vulnerable. First, Lia Romero, a leader with The Dorothea Project, a grass-roots, women-led initiative inspired by Catholic Social Teaching, shares how the movement began and how Catholic women across the country are being mobilized to speak truth and act courageously in defense of human dignity. Then, Dr. Henry Schwalbenberg, economist and Director of Fordham University’s International Political Economics and Development program, joins us to reflect on U.S. foreign policy, global development challenges, and the moral dimensions of international aid, following the publication of his recent essay on foreign aid and global poverty in L’Osservatore Romano in honor of the World Day of Social Justice.
