Lucas Swanepoel, Esq. who is the Vice President of Social Policy down at Catholic Charities USA in Alexandria, Virginia; Lucas will be sharing with Msgr. Sullivan and our listeners a rundown of this past week’s midterm elections – which took place back on Tuesday, November 6th – and what changes there have been in the political landscape, and what those changes may bode for Catholics who are engaged in policy debates and political advocacy in the coming 116th Congress and beyond.

John Higgins –- who is a priest of the Archdiocese of New York and the Pastor of Holy Cross Parish in the Soundview section of the Bronx; on this weekend when we commemorate the World Day of the Poor on Sunday November 18th here in the Archdiocese of New York by holding the annual Catholic Charities Campaign for Charity and Justice in all of the parishes of the Archdiocese, Father Higgins will be sharing with us a bit about the Matthew 25 Ministry that is sponsored by Holy Cross Parish, and how a grant that the Matthew 25 Ministry received from the Catholic Campaign for Charity and Justice helps the members of that ministry reach out to and serve neediest in their community, including the poor, the hungry, the marginalized, the mentally ill and the addicted.
