Marathon, Mission, and the Saints
On today’s episode of JustLove, Monsignor Kevin Sullivan begins by speaking with Zac Davis, Associate Editor and Senior Director for Digital Strategy at America magazine, and Christopher Capello, PhD candidate in English Literature at Stanford University and Trustee of the Raskob Foundation for Catholic Activities. Both are running in the 2025 TSC New York City Marathon on Sunday, November 2nd, on behalf of Catholic Charities of New York, sharing their motivations, experiences, and the impact of supporting this vital organization. Following a short break, Monsignor Sullivan sits down with Prof. Jonathan Tan, Archbishop Paul Hallinan Professor of Catholic Studies at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, on All Saints Day, Saturday, November 1st. They discuss the importance of Saints in the Catholic tradition, highlighting two recently canonized by Pope Leo XIV – Saint Carlo Acutis and Saint Peter To Rot, the first Saint from Papua New Guinea – and their relevance for the faithful today.
