JustLove’s Memorial Day Show

Celebrating those Who Served and Continue to Give

On this week’s episode of JustLove, Monsignor Sullivan focuses on the significance of Memorial Day with Bryan Anderson, an Iraq War Veteran and spokesman for Quantum Rehab, a division of Pride Mobility;  and John Strawn, General Manager of “The Refuge Café” – a social enterprise of Catholic Charities Community Services of the Diocese of Phoenix.

Bryan Anderson will be speaking about  his work with Quantum Rehab as well as being a spokesman for both The Gary Sinise Foundation and USA Cares – organizations that provide supportive services for veterans. Bryan  will also touch on his experiences during his service and  becoming a triple amputee after being wounded while on patrol during his second tour of duty in Iraq in 2005. He currently makes personal appearances at major rehab facilities across the country delivering his message of perseverance and determination.

Msgr. Sullivan and John will be speaking about the work of The Refuge Cafe, which functions as a coffee shop by day and a wine bar at night, with the proceeds generated going back into programs run by Catholic Charities in Phoenix. The cafe particularly provides job training and development  for refugees, at-risk youth and veterans living in the transitional housing program run by Catholic Charities.
