Jesus Teaches Us to Pray

Did you know the Our Father is about two tweets long. Maybe the reason God wanted us to be short in our words to Him is because he wanted to make sure we left time for him to speak to us. When at a loss for words, use the Our Father. When using our own, keep it to two tweets, pause, let God answer and then another two tweets and pause. You get the point…

Tip: Say a short prayer about something you care about (two tweets worth). If it isn’t too sensitive and personal, maybe you could post two tweets. It might help somebody else.

Verse:

Matthew 6:9-13

“This is how you are to pray:

Our Father who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name,
thy Kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
