Earth Day; and Ramadan

On this week’s episode of Just Love, Monsignor Kevin Sullivan has a conversation on the impact that the coronavirus pandemic shut-downs have had on climate change, and a conversation on how the observance of Ramadan has been impacted by this difficult pandemic year, and how the practice of Ramadan gives hope to the Muslim community.

Dean Benjamin Houlton, Ph.D. is the Ronald P. Lynch Dean and Professor in the Department of Ecology, Evolutionary Biology, and Global Development at The College of Agriculture and Life Science at Cornell University. During this week when we commemorated Earth Day on Thursday, April 22nd, Dean Houlton shares with us a bit about how the coronavirus pandemic mandated shut-downs in the economies here in the United States and across the world have had on carbon emissions and climate change.

Lamiya Khandaker is the Project Manager at the Islamic Leadership Council of New York (Majlis Ash-Shura). During this month that our Muslim brothers and sisters are observing the holy season of Ramadan, Lamiya Khandaker shares with us a bit about how the observance of Ramadan has been impacted by this difficult pandemic year, and how the practice of Ramadan gives hope to the Muslim community.
