Building Inclusive Communities and Exploring Soccer’s Global Impact
On today’s episode of Just Love with Monsignor Kevin Sullivan, we commemorate the 36th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) with Dr. Anne M. Masters, Ph.D., Director of the Office for Pastoral Ministry with Persons with Disabilities for the Archdiocese of Newark. Together, we’ll discuss how the Church can move beyond viewing disability as a “boutique” ministry and embrace full inclusion for persons with disabilities and their families while exploring practical ways parishes can become more welcoming and accessible.
Later, Monsignor welcomes Prof. Kirk Bowman, Ph.D., Professor and Regents’ Entrepreneur in the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs at Georgia Tech University, to examine the global impact of soccer. We’ll explore how the world’s most popular sport shapes national identity, influences international relations, and serves as a powerful force for social and political change, bringing people together and reflecting the cultures and aspirations of communities around the world.
