The Opening of Churches After COVID-19 and World Refugee Day

On this week’s episode of JustLove, as our cities and states come back alive and reopen after over a year of being shut-down because of COVID-related restrictions, we will have a discussion on the reopening of religious institutions here in New York City; and because we commemorate World Refugee Day on this Sunday, June 20th, we’ll also have a conversation about the current situation of Palestinian Refugees in Palestine, Lebanon, and Jordan.

Rev. Matthew Heyd is an Episcopal Priest and the Rector of the Episcopal Church of Heavenly Rest located in New York City. This week, while cities and states all over the country come back alive and reopen after over a year of being shut-down due to COVID-19 restrictions, Rev. Matthew Heyd, who is a member of the Partnership for New York City’s Coalition of Sectors on the Reopening of New York, shares with us a bit about the re-opening of religious and other institutions here in New York City in the aftermath of the COVID-19 restrictions.
