Lisa Aquino is the Executive Director of Catholic Social Services of Alaska, the social services arm of the Archdiocese of Anchorage. Lisa – who was born and raised in Alaska, shares a bit about the work of Catholic Social Services of Alaska, and how they assist the vulnerable – the homeless, the hungry, and immigrants and refugees – in one of the Northern-most Dioceses in the country.
Peter Rothstein is the Founding Artistic Director of Theatre Latte Da and the Creator and Director of “All is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914”, a play which tells the story of the actual Christmas Truce of 1914 – a series of widespread but unofficial ceasefires along the Western Front during World War I. Peter talks about his inspiration for writing “All is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914” as well as the true story of this iconic moment of peace and humanity amidst one of the most violent events in human history.
