Running the 2019 TCS New York City Marathon and A Halloween Costume Drive for Children in Need
On this week’s episode of Just Love, Monsignor Kevin Sullivan talks to one of our marathon runners from Catholic Charities of Chicago. He also talks to Catholic Charities of Eastern Virginia about their Halloween costume initiative.
Tim Berry is a marathon runner from Chicago who will be running in the 2019 TCS New York City Marathon on behalf of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York this Sunday, November 3, 2019. Tim is currently homeless and eats his super most weeknights at Catholic Charities of Chicago’s LaSalle Street Headquarters. He talks to us about his upcoming participation in the New York City Marathon and why he feels so passionately about running to support the work of Catholic Charities in both his home city of Chicago and here in New York as well.
Noreen Russo is the Manager of the Junior Board of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago is accompanying Tim Berry to New York for his participation in the 2019 TCS New York City Marathon. Noreen shares with us what Tim’s participation in support of Catholic Charities means to her and other staff members at Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago.
Margot Davis is the Pregnancy and Parenting Support Case Manager of Catholic Charities of Eastern Virginia and talks to us about the work of Catholic Charities of Eastern Virginia and its “Halloween Costume Drive,” which allows children and their families to participate in Halloween by dressing up in donated costumes and enjoy the holiday as other children would, without their families having to worry about the additional expense that a Halloween costume could represent to a struggling family.
