Catholic Schools Week 2021 and Immigration Law under the New Biden Administration

Michael J. Deegan is the Superintendent of Schools for the Archdiocese of New York. During this week when we celebrate Catholic education during Catholic Schools Week from January 31st to February 6th, Mike Deegan talks about the Catholic schools in New York, which educate over 67,000 student’s annually from Pre-K to twelfth grade in rural, urban and suburban settings throughout the ten southern counties of New York State – as well as what some of the challenges have been facing Catholic Education – particularly in light of the COVID-19 Pandemic of the Past Year.

C. Mario Russell, Esq. is the Director of the Immigrant and Refugee Services Division of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York. During this first full week of the new Administration of President Joe Biden, Mario Russell talks about the changing approach to Immigration Law, Policies and Procedures under the Biden Administration, as well as what Immigrants and Refugees – and those that work with them – might be able to expect in the months and years to come.
