The Life and Legacy of President Nelson Mandela and a Virtual Baking Course

On this week’s episode of Just Love, Monsignor Kevin Sullivan talks about the life and legacy of President Mandela and also looks at “Bake-a-Camp,” a virtual baking class.

Prof. Muna Ndulo, LLM is the William Nelson Cromwell Professor of International and Comparative Law at Cornell University School of Law. During this week, when we recall the birth of Nelson Mandela, the former President of South Africa, Prof. Ndulo shares a bit about the extraordinary man that Nelson Mandela was, what his legacy is in South Africa and throughout the world, and what that legacy contributes to the movement for Racial Equality today.

Brocha Friedman is the Head Baker for the New York City subscription-based home baking platform Baketivity. In response to the social distancing requirements that have been keeping so many of us at home this summer, Baketivity launched its new, four-week-long virtual summer “Bake-A-Camp.” Brocha Friedman talks to us a bit about the Bake-A-Camp, and how it keeps around 500 campers participating in weekly baking challenges of increasing difficulty – all from the safety of their own kitchens!
